In 1961, after several years in the logging industry, the four Visscher brothers founded a retail lumber yard in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada. By the late 1970's Visscher Lumber had evolved into a remanufacturing facility and in 1976 a metal forming plant, Westform Metals, was added to begin the Visscher Group of Companies.
